Ella was born into the Senane world but whisked out of it at age six for her safety, as she was blessed by the Stars in more ways than one. She required protection from those who wished her harm and that meant hiding her where no one would look.

Fast forward fifteen years, and Ella is a civilian with no knowledge of the Stars or Senanes. On the first day of summer, Ella meets a cute girl, Lena, and her parents adopt a cat, Char.
