● Firing and recoil: the MP5A5 "recoil shock" system provides recoil and simulates bolt movement with every shot using a 300 g weight. The airsoft replica is equipped with a system that stops firing once the magazine is empty. After inserting a new loaded magazine (with BBs), the operator must rack the charging handle before firing again, increasing the realism and functionality of the replica.

● 3-round burst mode: the MP5A5 can be fired in semi-automatic, full-automatic, and now 3-round burst mode. The selector is ambidextrous and runs through the gearbox. The selector is smooth with a positive click.

● FET: The FET switch replaces the traditional mechanical trigger switch and provides improved trigger response.

● M-SYSTEM: Tokyo Marui recently developed the "M-SYSTEM," which consists of a microcomputer (MCU = microcontroller unit) that monitors and controls the FET, FC (fire control), the battery, and the motor. It not only monitors information and voltage through its 7 sensors and various voltage levels to change the firing mode and control motor rotation, but also includes a safety feature that detects damage or malfunctions and prevents the MP5A5 from firing in such cases.

● Realistic external parts: many components, such as the upper receiver, are made of metal and finished with realistic powder coating. The handguard, lower receiver, stock, charging handle, and selector are now made of nylon fiber, very similar to the material used in real MP5s.

● Reinforced parts: The charging handle is now made of reinforced nylon fiber, allowing the operator to perform the famous "HK slap" to reload the MP5A5. The retractable stock mechanism has been redesigned for greater reliability and realism.

● Adjustable rear sights: the drum rear sight is adjustable for elevation by rotating the drum to select different sight apertures and for height using an adjustment tool.

● Stamped steel magazine: A 72-round stamped steel magazine is included with the MP5A5 (this magazine is not compatible with the standard MP5 AEG line / FOR MP5 NEXT GEN SERIES ONLY)
