Kader Abdolah is terug, maar nu hij daar eenmaal is, komt hij erachter dat hij zich heeft vergist. Zijn ouderlijk huis was niet de plaats waarnaar hij verlangde: die plaats was nog onbereikbaarder dan hij dacht.
Wandelend door de bergen en langs ravijnen komt hij terecht in het oude observatorium van de familie. Daar hebben zijn voorvaderen met zelfgemaakte telescopen de hemelen door de eeuwen heen geobserveerd. De schrijver neemt ons met die telescopen mee naar ons oorspronkelijke thuis, naar de plek waar we allemaal vandaan komen. Ook richt hij zijn kijker op de steden van het vaderland, waar vrouwen in opstand zijn gekomen tegen de geestelijke macht.
Met Voordat het laat wordt snijdt Kader Abdolah een belangrijk thema van deze tijd aan. Het is een boek dat alleen hij kon schrijven. Dit werk is opnieuw het bewijs van zijn enorme literaire verbeeldingskracht.
Kader Abdolah (Iran, 1954) is niet alleen de schrijver van grote romans als Het huis van de moskee, Salam Europa! (longlist ECI Literatuurprijs 2017) en Op zoek naar Ramona, maar ook de vertaler en bezorger van grote klassieke meesterwerken uit de wereldliteratuur, zoals De Koran, 1001 nacht en Wat je zoekt, zoekt jou, die in Nederland heel succesvol waren.

The ‘bag’ size is big enough to fit a LARGE (up to a 10 ounce bar of homemade/ handcut soap) bar or many tiny pieces. I am tired of using body wash (full of harmful chemicals) & a ‘pouf’ that may not be getting fully clean after throwing it in the washing machine periodically. The fabric quality is organic, natural & PREMIUM! It has little loops on the fabric which are great for lightly exfoliating & cleaning the skin, has a bead to keep opening closed and the string is long enough to fit around your wrist to hold it easily while bathing or showering. As far as effectiveness, it gets very bubbly if you get the fabric wet 1st & then make some traction (rub the wet bag back & forth onto the wet soap bar) between soap and the bag. For washing, use ‘wash bags’ (which are sold on Amazon & other retailers in many sizes) to keep them from being torn from buttons, zippers, etc on other items in the wash. With 8 in a pack, you should always have a clean one to use, while washing a previously used one. Rinse it out & Hang it after use to fully dry.

Very pleased with this product. The bags are soft but still exfoliate well. They hold lather after wetting the outside, but then allow the soap to dry completely when hung by the drawstring. I will buy them again when I need them.
