Back and front means the outer front and back surfaces are 9ct gold, while the inside frame and fittings are a different base metal, which is typical for this style of locket. A vintage 9ct gold back and front heart locket with a lovely etched foliate design across the front.

Stamped 9ct BK & FT and 375. “Back and front” means the outer front and back surfaces are 9ct gold, while the inside frame and fittings are a different base metal, which is typical for this style of locket. It opens and closes securely, and you can add two small photos inside (one side has a plastic cover).
